That's an oddly high "spirit" score for someone who doesn't have one...

I score 7.7

My life is better than your life - nyah.

It seems to me this is more a measure of contentedness and outlook than life quality.

Not really, in that it asks things like "Are you close to your family?" or "Are you married?" without asking "Does this bother you at all?"

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I'm dinged for having no dogs, cats, or evil feces-throwing chimpanzees in my house.

Then, too, I suspect that the "Spirit" quotient goes up if you answer Yes to "Do you believe everything happens for a reason?" They're probably thinking higher power, while I may well be thinking "well, yeah-- gravity!" --or the like.

I know I got points for checking "can you quote from a holy text?"

I thought, "Well, yes, for my own purposes."

Your "spirit" value is high because of your choice in "adult beverages," I'd assume.

Yeah, I seriously doubt they take into account my mumbling something about the second law of thermodynamics for anything/everything, followed by "ehh...what the hell".

"Not really, in that it asks things like "Are you close to your family?" or "Are you married?" without asking "Does this bother you at all?"

Or, "Have you met my family? Shall I introduce you first to the drug addict, the other drug addict, the alcoholic, or the thief?"

Yeah, it's about as perceptive as a Quinnipiac poll ("Do you think the country is headed in the right direction?"), but I tried gaming it a little, and it doesn't give you 5 automatic points for having an invisible friend in the sky. I thought it interesting that all "Christian" was in the same bucket; I expect a degree of finesse between traditional and VatII RC, for instance, or the plain old faiths and chrystal cathedrals. Maybe I've been away too long.

OTOH: "loneliness" is a mental illness on this poll, and knocks you down 1.3 points. And "living with parents" is .1 higher than "own, no mortgage" (relates to a series of rants we just had).

I don't know Tam, I think you're quite "spirited".
