Today In History: "Pilot to bombardier..."
On this date in 1985, the Philadelphia Police Department displayed a tenuous grasp of Constitutionality and a complete innocence of the concept of "Public Relations" when it decided to branch out into the Close Air Support field.

Uggh, the Goode Administration. Those were some dark years in Philadelphia. I'm still amazed that he was re-elected in '87 though.
Wouldn't the phrase be 'ignorance of the concept of "Public Relations"'. They certainly weren't innocent of it.
Some of the same lies, tactics, and excuses were used 8 years later in a town in Texas.
